Hey! I am RANKO, a multidisciplinary artist currently based in the prefecture of Yamagata, Japan.
I live here foraging, fermenting and slowly learning how to tend to the land, the human community and the spirits.
My various forms of expression, ranging from painting, jewellery making, dancing and animation making,
are my ways to relate to the unseen,the Earth, the ancestors, and the uncouncious.
I consider my practice as a work of translation, a bridge, a passageway between these different worlds.

RANKOは現在、山形県を拠点に活動するアーティストです。

絵画、ジュエリー、舞やアニメーションなどの様々な表現方法を通して、
目に見えない存在達、母なる大地、祖先、そして無意識との関わり方を模索しています。

自らの芸術活動を、これらの異なる世界の橋渡しとしてとらえています。
