✴Upcycled Jewellery &Clothing✴

RANKO's upcycled jewellery and clothing are forms of prayers.
Prayers that each one of us will shine our brightest light onto this world,
and that we humans can keep being part of thisEarth family in the times to come. 

For all my creations, I use thrifted/ recycled/ vintage beads and clothing as main materials,
to which I add an enormous amount of time, passion, and love to give these materials a second life.
I also try to deliver orders in upcycled packaging as much as possible.

This project aims to imagine a world different from the hyper-consumerist, hyper-rational and capitalist one we live in today.
I believe wearing garments that make you feel powerful and expressive is a form of rebellion against this standardizing world.
Showing your soul's uniqueness is going against a soul-killing culture.
Using already existing materials in order to create something new and filled with spirit, using your brain, hands and creative fire is a way to
regain power in a society that told us we were powerless.
All of this, with always a childlike playfulness in your heart.

I know that for me, wearing vibrant and expressive outfits helps my energy shine brighter. I wear my creations as amulets, as protections.
I hope my creations can help you feel that way too. Help you imagine that another world is possible, most importantly.

✴地球にやさしいアップサイクルジュエリー✴

RANKOの制作は、お守りのような、友達のような一点物のジュエリーやリメイク古着をみなさんの元に届けるこころみです。

「一人一人の人間が自分自身として輝き、そしてこれからも地球の一部として生きていけますように」という願いを込めて、
すべてアップサイクル素材で作っています。

アップサイクルというのは、使われなくなった素材を違う形に変えて、新しい命を吹き込むことです。
RANKOの場合、リサイクルショップやアンティークショップなどでアクセサリーや古着を購入し、その材料に手間と時間、そして愛を加えて、
またほかのだれかに幸せと楽しさを与えてくれるような作品を作っています。
環境への配慮により、パッケージングも可能な限りアップサイクル素材を使用しています。

このプロジェクトの根本には、今の資本主義社会と異なる世界を想像し、製造していきたいという思いがあります。
常にあふれ続ける欲を満たすために、地球も人類をも破壊することをためらわない今の社会。
この社会と異なる世界を作っていくには、個々が自分の核をしっかり持つこと、自分の頭と手、そして心を使って周りの世界を作っていくこと、
自分だけが持っている唯一無二の個性を世界と分け合い協力していくことが必要だと思います。
そして、とっても大事なのが、子供のような遊び心と想像力を常に育てつづけること。

私は、身にまとう服やジュエリーがそのようなエネルギーを引き出すお手伝いをしてくれているとよく感じます。
お守りのように、身に着けています。みなさんにとっても、RANKOジュエリーがそのような役割を果たせますように。
